About Scott Catchot
Helping People Flourish Through Faith, Wisdom, and Whole-Person Growth
For more than two decades, I have had the privilege of serving people in some of life's most challenging and meaningful moments. My journey has taken me into counseling offices, churches, public school classrooms, correctional facilities, hospitals, and community outreach settings. While those environments have been different, the mission has remained the same: helping people find hope, healing, and practical direction for the road ahead.
One lesson has become increasingly clear throughout that journey: people rarely struggle in only one area of life. Emotional health affects relationships. Spiritual questions influence purpose. Chronic stress impacts the body. Leadership challenges often reveal deeper personal struggles. Lasting growth requires more than addressing symptoms; it requires caring for the whole person.
That conviction shapes everything I do. Whether I'm providing professional counseling, coaching leaders, teaching biblical principles, mentoring young people, or serving alongside community partners, my desire is to help people grow spiritually, emotionally, relationally, and personally so they can live with greater freedom, resilience, and purpose.

Whether you are seeking professional counseling, leadership coaching, ministry partnership, or simply exploring your next step, my commitment is to serve with integrity, compassion, and excellence.
My role is not to tell you who you should become. It is to help you discover the strengths God has placed within you, overcome the obstacles standing in your way, and equip you with practical tools to move forward with confidence.
I believe every person has inherent worth because they are created in the image of God. Healing is possible. Growth is intentional. Transformation is a lifelong journey.
I would be honored to walk alongside you.
A Life Shaped by Service and Discipline
Service has been the common thread throughout my life and career. I have served as a Licensed Professional Counselor, educator, pastor, ministry leader, and mental health professional within correctional and behavioral health settings. Each role has reinforced the importance of meeting people where they are while helping them move toward where they are called to be.
Another lifelong influence has been martial arts. I began training as a child under my father, a Korean War veteran, and have continued studying Shotokan Karate, Aikido, Judo, Jujitsu, and practical self-defense throughout my life. The discipline, perseverance, humility, and character developed through martial arts continue to shape both my personal life and professional philosophy.
Following double knee replacement surgery, returning to training became more than physical rehabilitation. It became a reminder that resilience is not simply about overcoming obstacles; it is about faithfully taking the next step, even when the path forward is difficult.
An Integrated Approach
My work brings together three complementary areas of service. Professional Counseling provides evidence-based mental health care grounded in ethical clinical practice. As a Texas Licensed Professional Counselor with graduate training in Marriage and Family Therapy, I help individuals and families navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, grief, life transitions, and personal growth.
Life and Leadership Coaching is designed for individuals, ministry leaders, professionals, and organizations seeking greater clarity, intentionality, and sustainable growth. Coaching focuses on developing practical strategies, strengthening leadership, and building resilience while helping clients move confidently toward their goals.
Faith and Ministry reflects my lifelong calling to discipleship, teaching, and community outreach. Through pastoral ministry, speaking, martial arts outreach, youth mentoring, and Eth Ministries, I seek to demonstrate Christ's love by meeting both practical and spiritual needs.
Education and Experience
My preparation combines theological training, clinical education, and decades of practical ministry and leadership experience. I hold graduate degrees in Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy, a Master of Divinity, and maintain licensure as a Texas Licensed Professional Counselor. I have also served as a certified educator, ministry leader, and mental health professional across diverse clinical, educational, correctional, and community settings.
While credentials matter, I believe people are transformed most deeply through authentic relationships, compassionate guidance, and practical steps taken consistently over time.
